FUJI XEROX ASIA PACIFIC LAUNCHES SUSTAINABLE GREEN SOLUTIONS TO ENABLE CUSTOMERS TO SAVE COSTS, TIME AND THE EARTH
Managed Print Services Connect (Feb 20 2012) Australia , Go Green and Save
-
SINGAPORE, February 20, 2012 – Fuji Xerox Asia Pacific Pte Ltd launches Green Solutions to complement its recently-launched ApeosPort-IV multifunction device (MFD) series in a bid to reduce Carbon Dioxide (CO2) emissions.
Aimed at enterprise customers and small and medium-sized businesses (SMB), the environmentally-friendly service offerings bring reductions in cost, electricity consumption, CO2 emissions, quantity of printouts, manual work and administrative efforts. In addition, companies can also reap increases in efficiency, convenience, security, brand reliability, user intuition and consciousness through these new solutions.
Incorporating environmental design in both hardware and software, Green Solutions bring the power of 3P’s in Paper Saving, Paper-less Fax, Power consumption control and Eco reporting. A paper-less office environment is achieved while unnecessary printouts are avoided with paper-less fax, personalized user interface (UI), easy authentication, Private Charge Print, and Server-less On-Demand Print1.
Eco-Oriented Features and Functions
The new ApeosPort-IV series employs Fuji Xerox’s latest eco-conscious technologies – Smart WelcomEyes, Smart Energy Management Technology, high speed reactivation from sleep mode – to save time and energy through motion sensors and power distribution, minimising waiting time while giving users more time to complete other operations.
Document distribution such as paperless fax is visualized with the DocuWorks 7.3 Document Tray Option and automated with the ApeosWare Flow Management.
- DocuWorks 7.3 Document Tray Option displays device and folder icons graphically onscreen, linking computers through a drag-and-drop function, thereby reducing processing time and print wastage.
- ApeosWare Flow Management transfers stored documents through the module, processing the jobs with file format conversion, OCR or file re-naming, and distributing them to determined locations.
The ApeosWare Log Management 1.2 (launching in March 2012) tracks power consumption and print volume.
- Individualised reports are broken down by user or device for electricity usage, paper usage and CO2 emission.
- Statements indicate number of trees saved and compares month-to-month requirements.
Hardware and Software Edge Over the Competition
Guided by the principle of environmental protection, Fuji Xerox technologies reduce energy consumption yet bring convenience to users, generating greater awareness of environmental initiatives and encouraging employees to adopt eco-conscious practices, products and mindsets.
“We come to work each day trying new approaches to do things better,” said Koji Tezuka, senior general manager, Marketing, Fuji Xerox Asia Pacific, “Fuji Xerox’s commitment to the environment flows down our value chain with the creation and spreading of Green Solutions and devices. We aspire to help customers achieve both environmental and business benefits by increasing productivity through reducing CO2 emissions and costs.”
Fuji Xerox has set targets for year 2020 to reduce CO2 emissions in the entire life cycle of its activities per annum by 30 per cent from the 2005 level and by seven million tons at its customers’ offices per annum.
1 Server-less On-Demand Print fosters a flexible printing environment where users can release print jobs from any devices (up to five) without any server infrastructures.
