Ricoh Digital Imaging Services help turn documents into actionable information for agile decision making
Managed Print Services Connect (Oct 18 2012) Workflow

MALVERN, Pa., Oct. 18, 2012 – Although organizations have no shortage of documents in 2012,
information still remains frustratingly out of reach for knowledge workers making important
decisions on the fly.
Ricoh Americas Corporation today addressed this pervasive customer problem with a potential
antidote: Ricoh Digital Imaging Services. The solution portfolio can help customers more
efficiently capture valuable information, integrate it into important workflows and distribute it in
the right form to the right person at the right time. It’s among the first of Ricoh’s new Business
Information Solutions, which are aimed at solving some of the 21st century’s most urgent
business problems.
Ricoh Digital Imaging Services comprise a full spectrum of scanning, indexing, data capture and
related services. Whether information starts on paper, microfilm, microfiche, aperture cards or
unstructured data files, it’s converted into useful, manageable and organized knowledge that
employees can act on.
Ricoh offers unparalleled experience in imaging. The company provides imaging and related
services to organizations small and large across nearly every sector and industry. The company
has amassed a wealth of project management and engineering expertise as well as a worldclass
infrastructure in such key vertical markets as healthcare, financial services and higher
education.
“Business information is useless if workers can’t have it at their fingertips when they need it,”
said Dominic Pontrelli, Senior Vice President, Marketing, Ricoh Americas Corporation. “Too
often, a worker knows that the information needed exists somewhere in the organization – on
paper in someone’s desk or in the archives – but that searching for it would be fruitless.
Converting the information into a digital form enables an organization to extract the value of that
previously elusive knowledge and achieve better business results. In this way, imaging is much
more than a clerical task; it’s a true business information solution.”
To reveal promising opportunities, Ricoh maps organizations’ information input, processing and
output patterns and finds creative ways to make the workflow more efficient. Ricoh Digital
Imaging Services can dramatically improve the information input phase, connecting previously
buried information with powerful electronic workflows.
