Corporate News : Samsung Electronics America Names Rajiv Mehta Senior Vice President Of Customer Service Division
RIDGEFIELD PARK, N.J. –April 14, 2014 – Samsung Electronics America, Inc. has announced Rajiv Mehta as the Senior Vice President of its Customer Service Division. Recently there has been a lot of debate around educational standards – individual state standards versus the national Common Core standard. In fact, PARCC (Partnership for Assessment of Readiness for College and Careers) field testing for the Common Core started in March. Roughly four million students across 36 states and the District of Columbia will take part in the field test this spring. Most printing salespeople that I have spoken to believe that they are lucky to make 10 truly effective calls. That means a lot of costly sales resources are spent if you really want to drive sales forward.
In a recent survey conducted by the DOCUMENT Strategy Forum, executives, senior managers, and program managers reported that the single most important benefit they are seeking is to improve the customer online experience, with over 75% of respondents rating this factor as most important (see figure below). Other customer-related benefits also were highly rated, including self-service, mobile, and call center experiences.
