FUJI XEROX INTRODUCES NEW DOCUMENT DISTRIBUTION SOFTWARE FOR AN ENHANCED WORKFLOW EFFICIENCY AND PRODUCTIVITY
Managed Print Services Connect (Oct 24 2011) Asia , Australia
-
Singapore, October 20, 2011 – Fuji Xerox Asia Pacific today introduced the new and improved ApeosWare Management Suite, the integrated software suite that boasts the new ApeosWare Flow Management. This enhanced version further value adds enabling organizations to automate the process for finishing and sending document easily, offering flexibility to suit diverse print environments and changes in an organization.
The ApeosWare Flow Management software helps to enhance workflow productivity within the organization with the seamless procedures that manages documents from inputting, processing and distribution.
Scanning
The ApeosWare Flow Management software can automate a sequence of procedures based on the manner in which the documents are received, namely by facsimile, by scanner or by PC. By linking to a device such as Fuji Xerox ApeosPort MFDs, which supports link to web applications, a document can be efficiently processed from any Fuji Xerox ApeosPort MFDs according to the sequence. The document can then be saved by scanning and conveniently sent to intended recipients automatically.
Processing
Optical character recognition (OCR), file conversions and image processing such as rotation are made effortless with Flow Management. OCR processing and conversions of high compression PDF documents can run automatically, saving organisations both operating time and costs. Users are simply required to receive faxes or scan, and copy the respective files to folders.
Distribution
Another useful feature is the distribution process. Users can assign received documents to shared folders, printers, emails and faxes which are determined by the date and time, document name using OCR and IDs for faxes or even by a combination of different attributes. Users also have the flexibility to either assign received documents for printing on a working day or have them saved as digital information during weekends.
This integrated software packs the basic functions namely system settings, user database management, device monitoring backup and basic user interface settings, as well as advanced management solutions to complement a more efficient print administration.
- ApeosWare Device Management enables device batch setting and downloading various files.
- ApeosWare Authentication Management maintains optimum security as users are required to authenticate before any print activities are carried out on the device. An output quota can also be set to ensure that each user manages their print activities well and keep wastage to the minimum.
- ApeosWare Log Management allows organisations to keep track of their print activities in real-time. Organisations can retrieve log reports from devices, log searching and accounting as well as fax communication reports.
- ApeosWare Print Management prompts users with several print options before a print job is executed. Options such as on-demand, alternate and distributed printing helps to minimise paper usage. It also has the capability to force a 2-sided or black and white print.
With the modular based function, users have the option to utilize the ApeosWare Flow Management as a standalone or upgrade their current ApeosWare Management Suite with the ApeosWare Flow Management for a complete suite.
